The document below has a long message, but we feel it is worth the read. This is an extremely immediate issue in Iowa that requires all of our attention today to impact funding for our student’s education. We summarize a variety of information sources in an attempt to spread the word and to inspire action. Please read, act and forward to everyone you know in Iowa.

Dear Hanawalt Families,
Kindergarten Sign-Up is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, from 3:00 to 7:30 p.m.
Non-ELL and ELL (English Language Learner) families who have an older sibling currently attending Hanawalt, or another DMPS school, or, who are currently attending a DMPS Preschool, are able to register at their address-assigned school in the area they live in. Anyone else must register at the District Welcome Center by contacting their office at (515) 242-7371

. A child must be five years old on or before September 15, 2015 in order to enroll in Kindergarten.
Please bring the following documents that are required for registration:
- Verification of birth date (Either a birth certificate, baptism certificate or passport)
- Child’s immunization record (including Kindergarten shots before school starts)
- Photo ID; two documents stating established residency in the Hanawalt area (e.g. lease agreement, utility bill, rental agreement or mortgage statement)
